TORONTO RUSH FC PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS (YOUTH / ADULT)

 

INTRODUCTORY

At this stage, players will learn how to move correctly on the field. Goals will be achieved through a series of games that are able to stimulate the imagination. They will start on the static and dynamic balance, spatial and temporal orientation and combined movements. This will be accomplished through exercises that are fun and easy to understand. Players will learn the basics of soccer and will play small sided games. This method will serve to increase the player's collaboration with pairs, overall improving the touch and control of the ball.

INTERMEDIATE:

At this stage, players should be familiar and comfortable with the ball. In particular they should be able to execute exercises involving soccer basics: running with the ball; overcoming opponents; kicking the ball to shoot on the net. Moreover, players at this stage feel the sense of being part of a team. They will start to execute more specified tasks which involve a more intense physical and mental component.

ADVANCED:

At this stage, players should be able to handle a comprehensive training session. They will continue practicing the gestures and the technical basics of the game through more complex and challenging exercises. It is also important to create the initial comprehension of a well structured game with their teammates.

SKILLED:

At this stage, players should be able to master the fundamentals. Training sessions will help to consolidate the skills acquired. Players will spend more time with technical and tactical gestures and physical skills specifications. Players will face more game situations, searching for technical accuracy and originality.

ELITE:

At this stage, players will aspire to reach perfection in their technical gestures and knowledge of tactical sense in relation to the collective game. Players will carry out exercises of increasing difficulty with greater insistence on the various situations of the game.
